Youth in Europe (YinEU)
Youth in Europe (YinEU) is also a two-year partnership initiative that began in January 2023. Partners for this project are based in Spain, Lithuania, Italy and Croatia. The purpose is to examine the current status quo in each partner country in relation to education for young people around the EU including its functioning, history, values and principles. The consortium is currently working on an ebook comparing the state of European Citizenship Education in each partner country. We have also begun work on an online training course for young people.
Integrate
In September 2023, DP began work on a new strategic partnership funded through Erasmus+. The project, led by Meath Partnership, is known as ‘Integrate’
The aim of the Integrate project is to support migrants from across the world to integrate into European communities, using Global Citizenship Education (GCE) approach to provide humanitarian support to community members to support them to thrive in their new countries.
The project is designed to support the integration of migrants by:
- boosting economic opportunities of young people
- promoting social opportunities
- promoting the principles of justice, solidarity and human rights
- building a more just, inclusive, and compassionate society
In addition to Meath Partnership, organisations from Italy, Spain, Austria and Cyprus are involved in the Integrate consortium. Some interesting training courses and resources will be developed over the course of this two-year partnership.
