A core part of DP’s work is producing research and learning pieces that document and analyse the impact of its programmes, ensuring that participant and community voices, and evidence shape future practice. Development Perspectives combines research with direct community engagement to ensure its work is grounded in real experiences. This approach helps create solutions that are evidence-based, fair, and sustainable, supporting long-term social, environmental, and economic benefits for communities.

Development Perspectives is currently carrying out Portrait Values Research using the Portrait Values Questionnaire. This research helps us understand the values that matter most to people. Values are the guiding principles in our lives—they influence what we consider important, how we act, and what we believe in. The findings from this research will be shared as soon as they are available.
