She was the founding member of the “Asibambane Support Group” an adolescent’s support group initiative for young people leaving with HIV to strengthen adherence and acceptance among young people in eSwatini.
Susan has always had the global citizenship mind at a young age; with two other ladies she started Courage to Conquer a Mental health and Psychosocial Organisation that is based in Mbabane eSwatini but working in all four regions to support youth people on mental health and psychosocial issues. Gender based Violence has escalated to greater heights in this South African country called eSwatini, so the youth need lots of support from organizations such as Courage to Conquer.
Courage to Conquer has voluntary done a lot in the past years, but in 2020 they were exceptional due to the Covid19 pandemic that hit Eswatini so hard, also the political “Unrest” that happened in eSwatini in 2021, a lot of people lost their lives, families were left headed by the youth, the economy has gone down too so badly, there are basically a lot of factors leading to Mental health issues arising.
Courage to Conquer has worked so hard through their community-based volunteers to keep the youth afloat through free counselling services and parcel donations through local donors.
Susan is an alumnus for the following organizations:
1. ARASA
2. IDM Swaziland
3. Sisters Forum Program Eswatini
4. Cavendish University Zambia Social program
5. Candidate of the African Presidential Leadership Program (APLP)
Susan in a nutshell has shown qualities of being a leader and has against of all odds worked hard
