Gabrielle has a varied career with over 25 years of experience in rural and local development, spanning EU-funded initiatives, business development, and the Further Education and Training (FET) sector.

Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of community development, enterprise support, and lifelong learning, with a strong commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth. Gabrielle has consistently championed climate action at a grassroots and organisational level. Her work has ranged from supporting community-led initiatives such as community gardens to guiding businesses on their sustainability journey, embedding practical and achievable approaches to environmental responsibility within everyday operations.

In her current role with Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board (KCETB), Gabrielle has the opportunity to contribute, with her fellow KCETB colleagues and SDG advocates, to meaningful change at scale in the South East  – with access to over 25,000 learners annually and 1,500 staff . Through this platform, she actively contributes to sustainability education, climate awareness, and equality of access to learning, enhancing engagement as we transition to a more sustainable future.

Gabrielle is particularly passionate about “joining the dots”- bringing together people, projects, and ideas to amplify impact. She believes that collaboration across sectors is key to addressing complex global challenges, whether advancing climate action or improving access to education and training opportunities. At the heart of Gabrielle’s work is a belief that education, collaboration, and small actions can make a real difference. She enjoys working with individuals, communities, and organisations to support learning, sustainability, and positive change.
