
Sella Chisanga is an experienced anti-corruption investigator, public-sector integrity specialist, and global development practitioner currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Intenational Development at Maynooth University in Ireland. With a professional background in law enforcement, criminal and financial investigations, and governance, Sella has dedicated her career to combating corruption, promoting institutional integrity and fostering good governance.
Prior to her current academic pursuit in Ireland, Sella served as an investigator with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Malawi, where she spearheaded complex investigations into corruption, financial crimes and illicit enrichment. Her work focused heavily on asset tracing, recovery, and forfeiture ensuring that proceeds of crime were returned to the government and redirected towards critical sectors hence deterring future corruption, reinforcing the rule of law, enhancing institutional integrity, accountability and transparency, and restoring public trust in governance.
As an active SDG Advocate, Sella is passionate about the intersection of institutional justice and sustainable development. Through the SDG Advocate Training, she aims to leverage her investigative background and governance expertise to design impactful community action projects. She is deeply committed to driving progress toward UN Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), working to build transparent, accountable systems that empower communities and support sustainable development.
